As a result of the recent elections in Lithuania, Paulius Saudargas (Lithuanian Christian Democrats) has been elected as a member of the Lithuanian Parliament.

The ECPM congratulates Mr Saudargas with this fantastic result for him and his party. Furthermore we also hope that the good results of his party will also be a boost for Christian-democratic parties in the neightbouring countries of Lithuania.

Paulius Saudargas has been active within the ECPM and the ECPYN (European Christian Political Youth Network) for many years. He has been involved in organizing ECPYN summerschools and has also contributed to the ECPM Congress in 2006 as a speaker and has been the delegate of his party on other ECPM events.

The ECPM wants to wish Mr Saudargas God's blessings and wisdom in his period as Lithuanian MP and looks forward to welcome him and his party on future ECPM events.
