Wednesday 30 May 2007 10:27 The parliamentary elections of Belgium are coming closer and closer. These elections will be held on the 10th of June. There will be chosen 150 members of Parliament and 40 senators. 15 Persons of those people will become ministers.
Kris Vleugels, the ECPM board member, is number 9 on this Senate list. He is the founder and president of the Christian political movement C’axent in Belgium. This movement is not a political party, but it tries to get parliamentary representation through the CD&V, the Flemish Christian Democratic party.
C’axent focuses on the natural family as a foundation of the society. Its target groups are: youth, seniors, solidarity persons and the underprivileged; an open, social and sustainable economy; an asylum policy which can be combined very well with the development policy; safety; and regional and international cooperation.

From 2010 on, the activities of the ECPM are financially supported by the European Parliament.
