Stability and growth for Faroese Christian-democrats
Wednesday 14 November 2007 14:03 The Faroese Midflokkurin was able to secure a rise in votes in yesterday's parliamentary elections. With a rise from 5,2 to 6,8 % they were able to grow their support. Since the Faroer Islands have only 2 seats in the Danish Parliament, Midflokkurin did not make it into the this parliament. However, the party has already has 2 seats in the Faroese parliament, the 'Løgting'. The next elections for this parliament will be in January and the 1,6% increase in votes is a good sign for the coming elections.
The ECPM congratulates Midflokkurin with this growth that shows that parties with conviction and solutions can gain ground in any corner of Europe.
