New ECPYN board elected
Monday 17 August 2009 13:21 During the 6th International Summer School in Risan (Montenegro) the member congress convened and elected a new board. Furthermore new statutes and several other resolutions were accepted.The new board members are Răzvan Burleanu from Romania (president), Nutsa Shavladze from Georgia and Vladimir Plamadeala from Moldova. They join Jonathan van Tongeren from The Netherlands who was already elected in 2006.
"ECPYN is a growing network", says the new president Răzvan Burleanu, "and has a lot of potential. Together with the European Christian Political Movement we are building together on Christian politics in Europe by collaboration, exchange of experience and active participation."
On the same congress ECPYN welcomed the youth organisation of the Christian Democration Union of Ukraine as observer member. The Youth Christian Democratic Movement of Georgia received full membership status.
The congress adopted also new statutes and started some working groups.
