Tuesday 27 April 2010 10:31 On May 4th, the Romanian Parliament will become the 5th legislative to create a legal framework for Human Dignity. The Subcommittee on Human Dignity is a parliamentary structure with correspondents in the European Parliament, the US Congress, the United Kingdom Parliament and the Seismas of the Republic of Lithuania, and will promote the recognition of the infinite value of every single person by recognizing each human life as being made in the Image and Likeness of God, from conception until natural death.The future Subcommittee will be run by Marius Cristinel Dugulescu, individual member of ECPM, and its founding members are Nicolae Paun, Sergiu Andon, Attila Varga, Florin Postolachi, Mircea Lubanovici and Lucian Rivis-Tipei. Participants to the launch will include representatives of both the political and social sectors from four countries. ECPM will be represented by Leo van Doesburg, Regional Representative for East Europe. An important contribution will also be brought by Benjamin Harnwell, Chairman of the Institute for Human Dignity. Following its inaugural meeting, Subcommitte activities may include organizing seminars and conferences, drafting amendments to legislation and working with the other sister national working groups to support human dignity globally.
