The Research Institute of the ChristianUnion, the mr.G. Groen van Prinsterer Foundation, conducts research in the field of contemporary political and social issues. In order to give new impulses to Christian politics at large, as well as specific political debates, the Research Institute publishes books, brochures and articles on a wide range of topics. In addition, it organises conferences and other meetings to discuss important issues in present-day society.

Our Institute upholds a long tradition of Christian reflection on politics and society in the Netherlands. It was officially named after the legendary nineteenth protagonist of Christian politics in the Netherlands, Groen van Prinsterer (1801-1876), who has inspired many to follow a Christian path in politics. Standing on the shoulders of giants like Groen, we want to think about today's politics. Recognisable, accessible, and constantly aware of new developments in society.

What are our goals?

• to stimulate debates and reflection on political and social issues
• to build and expand political and scientific networks across Europe
• to support Christian Union politicians at all administrative levels
