The Troubled Political Situation in the Middle East and its Impact on the EU Foreign Policy

The Hamas terrorist attack on Israel on 7th October 2023 and the response from Israel (and the international community) requires a new approach by the EU in its Middle East policy. The member states and the EU itself must re-think its policies in the Middle East and should come with plans and strategies for new initiatives and peace plans.

We want to discuss and reflect on what would a new direction leading to peace look like, on what should BündnisC's position be and the areas in which it could advise the German government.

The speakers will present different perspectives. The participants can ask questions and will be involved in the discussion throughout the event. We want to achieve a broader perception of the various aspects of the Middle East conflict, in light of the EU policies and the EU itself.
